There are 160 fresh expressions known to us, varying in size from under 20 people to hundreds. We believe there are many more we do not know of. Fresh expressions are being developed in almost all districts. £70 million in Circuit Advance Funds is now available for mission-based projects. A new book, changing church for a changing world, has been published with lots of stories and some challenging questions.

Conference has this year (July 2007) set up a group to actively support work in developing fresh ways of being church. The Workshop (where conference splits into smaller groups) attracted about 125 people - nearly one third of the total attendance.
One student minister is currently training on an (informal) 'pioneer ministry' training track; policy on this is being developed and there are more pioneers to come.
